Salah Companion: Prayer Times

Salah Companion gives you precise prayer times for your exact location, adhan notifications you can tune to your routine, a qibla compass and a simple daily tracker so you can see your consistency over weeks and months. There are no ads interrupting your reminders and no clutter between you and the next prayer.

Accuracy starts with the calculation method. Prayer time apps disagree with each other because they use different conventions for the sun angle at Fajr and Isha, and most of them hide which one they picked. Salah Companion shows the method, lets you change it to the one your local mosque follows, and adds per-prayer offsets so you can nudge a single prayer by a minute or two without distorting the rest of the day. Location is detected automatically and can be overridden manually, which matters when you travel or when a cached location follows you to another city.

Notifications are the second half of the problem. Android power management quietly drops scheduled alarms, so the app guides you through exempting it from battery optimisation and surviving a reboot, and it lets you choose a different sound for each prayer plus a pre-prayer heads-up between five and forty-five minutes ahead. That heads-up is what makes prayer fit around meetings instead of colliding with them.

The qibla compass is calibrated and works entirely offline, using your device sensors rather than a network lookup. The consistency tracker is deliberately quiet: mark each prayer, watch the month fill in, and see honestly where the gaps are — usually one specific prayer rather than all five.

Ramadan mode adds suhoor and iftar timings with a countdown you can keep on your home screen, along with adjusted reminder timings for the month.

Everything is calculated on your device. Your location is never sent to us, and the app works with no internet connection once it is set up.
