Mindful Assistant
A calm focus companion that protects your attention instead of competing for it.
What Mindful Assistant does
Mindful Assistant combines a distraction-aware focus timer, gentle intention prompts and an end-of-day reflection so you finish work knowing what actually mattered. It is built for people who bounce off heavy productivity systems and just want to protect a few hours of real attention.
Every session starts with one question: what is this block for? Writing a single line before the timer runs sounds trivial, but it is the difference between focused work and forty minutes of tidying your inbox. The intention stays on screen while you work, so when your mind drifts you have something concrete to come back to.
The distraction log is the core of the app. When a thought arrives — an email you should send, a thing you should google, a worry about tomorrow — you tap once, type a few words, and keep going. The thought is captured, so your brain stops rehearsing it, and you deal with the list after the session instead of in the middle of it. People often find that half the items were never worth doing.
Breaks adapt to your energy rather than a fixed five minutes. After a heavy session the app suggests a longer break and a change of posture; after a light one it nudges you straight back in. You can override any suggestion, and nothing nags you if you skip a day.
At the end of the day, two questions and about sixty seconds produce a reflection you will actually re-read: what moved forward, and what got in the way. Over a couple of weeks the pattern in those answers is usually more useful than any analytics dashboard — most people discover their problem is a specific recurring interruption, not a lack of discipline.
There are no streak punishments, no leaderboards and no ads. Sessions, intentions, distraction lists and reflections stay on your device unless you choose to back them up.
